Job description
Corner Collection, a privately owned hospitality company in the heart of Old Montreal, is seeking a Wedding & Social Events Manager to develop and grow the weddings and social events segment across its portfolio, including Hôtel Nelligan and Hôtel Place d’Armes.
Reporting to the Director of Events, this role is responsible for the full cycle of weddings and social events, combining strong commercial results with oversight of planning and delivery to ensure strong revenue performance and a high level of execution.
The Wedding & Social Events Manager leads the client journey from initial inquiry through to event delivery, driving conversion, guiding the planning process, and ensuring alignment with client expectations, brand standards, and business objectives.
This role plays a key part in building the segment through strong inbound conversion, strategic relationship development, and active presence within the local events market.
Working closely with the commercial and the operations teams, the role requires a structured, proactive approach to pipeline management, client relationships, and overall performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Success in this role requires strong sales leadership, relationship management, and the ability to deliver both commercial performance and exceptional guest experiences.
- Own the full lifecycle of weddings and social events, from inquiry and conversion through to delivery and post-event follow-up
- Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities across varying sizes and complexities, ensuring consistent conversion and performance
- Lead client interactions including site visits, presentations, and proposals, guiding clients toward well-curated event experiences
- Manage opportunities across both properties, ensuring the right fit for each client while optimizing overall business performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, clients, and referral partners to drive repeat and long-term business
- Represent the properties within the local events market through networking and industry engagement
- Oversee planning and coordination, ensuring alignment with client expectations, brand standards, and overall experience quality
- Collaborate with internal teams on key event elements including timelines, setups, menus, and special requests
- Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed BEOs and event documentation
- Be present on-site as needed to ensure seamless execution aligned with brand standards
- Identify opportunities to enhance both the guest experience and the commercial value of each event
- Manage contracts, deposits, and billing accuracy for assigned events
- Track pipeline performance and conversion, ensuring disciplined follow-up and effective use of systems
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the weddings and social events offering
- Support the implementation of tools, processes, and standards across the events function

Requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience or more in event sales, with strong exposure to weddings and social events, ideally within a hotel or upscale venue
- A confident, client-facing professional with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- A structured and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A balanced mindset combining commercial awareness with commitment to guest experience
- Experience with hospitality systems (Opera, OSEM or equivalent; Social Tables an asset)
- Fully bilingual in French and English, with the ability to serve both local and international clientele
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as required
