Job description

Corner Collection, a privately owned hospitality company located in Old Montreal, is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategically-minded, and results driven Director of sales – Multi-property to grow revenue generation across its properties, Hôtel Nelligan and Hôtel Place d’Armes. This role is responsible for driving market share across Corporate & Social Groups, Business Travel, and Consortia segments. Working closely with Revenue Management and Marketing, this leader will align segment strategy, channel mix, and B2B initiatives to unlock sustainable growth across the portfolio.

As a senior leader within the commercial team, this role will build and inspire a high-performing sales team while establishing the structure, discipline, and accountability needed to consistently exceed targets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Success in this role requires disciplined execution, professionalism, and measurable commercial impact.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performance sales team rooted in accountability, professionalism, and execution.
  • Drive revenue growth across Corporate and Social Groups, Business Travel, and Consortia segments.
  • Establish and monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue, production, and activity goals to ensure consistent team performance and accountability.
  • Lead annual segment strategy planning and budget alignment with Revenue Management and Finance (including oversight of the department’s expense budget), and translate objectives into clear production targets and execution plans.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to align segment strategy with pricing, yield discipline, and profitability objectives.
  • Design, implement and administer a performance-based sales incentive structure aligned with company objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Lead B2B marketing initiatives in collaboration with Marketing, to support revenue growth and market positioning.
  • Apply yield management principles in contract negotiations for group and event business.
  • Ensure disciplined use of sales systems and accurate reporting across the team.
  • Act as the commercial ambassador for Corner Collection, withing key industry networks and travel markets.
  • Provide structured feedback to Operations to ensure strong service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Commit to appropriate travel to support market expansion and relationship development.

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience, including at least two (2) years as a Director of Sales within a luxury, downtown urban hotel environment and three (3) years as a Sales Manager.
  • Multi-property experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant luxury hospitality leadership experience considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing sales teams of five (5) or more direct reports.
  • Direct sales expertise across Corporate and Social Groups, Business Travel, Consortia, and luxury leisure markets, with familiarity and relationships within third-party group providers and luxury travel networks.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed prospecting, booking, and revenue production goals.
  • Strong commercial acumen and revenue-driven mindset, combining strategic thinking, data analysis, and disciplined execution to deliver measurable performance results.
  • Proven track record of networking and relationship development within the marketplace, supported.
  • Demonstrated ability to build structured action plans, enforce follow-through, and drive consistent execution across complex commercial initiatives.
  • Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems, with experience leveraging modern platforms (OSEM/OPERA preferred) and market intelligence tools.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English, with the ability to confidently articulate, negotiate on behalf of both hotels across international and English-speaking travel markets.
  • Ability to commit to moderate travel in support of market development and client relationships.
