Status : Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, the Supervisor's role is to coordinate activities related to the arrival and departure of guests at the establishment.

Job Description:

  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Supervise front desk operations.
  • Apply and enforce policies and standards.
  • Coach, train, supervise, discipline and motivate front desk staff and night auditors.
  • Follow up with customers.
  • Manage financial and material resources: budget preparation, inventory management).
  • Work in coordination with other departments within the establishment.
  • Receive customer feedback and manage, handle and follow up on complaints.
  • Master all tasks assigned to receptionists.
  • Manage the productivity and performance of the front desk team, bellman, doorman and concierge.
  • Manage room inventories.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar position or as a receptionist.
  • Knowledge of reception operations and computer systems (e.g. Opera).
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to influence and persuade.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to set priorities for self and team members.
  • Knowledge of the hotel industry (asset)
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Quick and sound judgment.
  • Innovative and inspiring leader.

Education:

  • DEC (Diploma of Collegial Studies).

Languages:

  • Bilingualism (French-English) is required in this position, as we serve international clients.
  • Fluency in other languages is an asset.
