Job description

The desired candidate has an innate sense of hospitality and is motivated by guest satisfaction. Reporting to the reception manager, the receptionist plays an active role in orchestrating the perfect stay through the quality of his or her work. He or she enjoys working in a sometimes unpredictable environment, where creativity and initiative are undeniable assets. Warm and professional, he/she has an open and empathetic attitude towards customers and fosters effective communication with the establishment's internal and external departments.

HOW YOU WILL PARTICIPATE IN CREATING MOMENTS OF HAPPINESS :

  • Warmly welcome guests;
  • Manage a cash register, collect payments and diligently enter confidential credit card information into the software;
  • Communicate information on tourist attractions and various activities in the region in collaboration with the establishment's concierge team;
  • Take telephone calls and route them to departments according to customer needs;
  • Respond enthusiastically and professionally to all requests;
  • Demonstrate discretion and ensure guest confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Sense of responsibility and initiative are essential;
  • Dynamic and proactive;
  • Excellent organization and management of priorities;
  • Participative spirit that thrives on teamwork;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Fluency in both official languages (French and English), oral and written; third language an asset;
  • Knowledge of the Office Suite;
  • Knowledge of hotel management software (Opera, an asset);
  • Training in hotel management (an asset);
  • Flexible availability (days, evenings and weekends).
