Job description

We are seeking a passionate Front Desk Director to oversee our team and ensure exceptional guest service under the supervision of the General Manager. You will guarantee high-quality service by managing operations efficiently and planning reception activities. Your ability to anticipate guests' needs, resolve issues quickly, and collaborate with other departments will be essential. With a keen sense of listening and organization, you will ensure the implementation of service standards and provide inspiring leadership to your team 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Coordinate and oversee all reception activities (Concierge, Valet, and Reception). 

  • Supervise, support, motivate, and engage your team. 

  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with all hotel departments to ensure maximum cooperation and productivity. 

  • Foster a culture of discretion and ensure the confidentiality of guest information. 

  • Ensure guest satisfaction during and after service delivery. 

  • Ensure that all service areas are equipped with the necessary tools for the smooth operation of the reception service (e.g., computer systems). 

  • Participate in management meetings. 

  • Produce various reports. 

  • Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures established by management related to guest reception and service within the department. 

  • Work closely with the reservations and revenue departments to maximize occupancy and revenue. 

  • Oversee the recruitment of qualified staff. 

  • Develop work schedules based on operational needs.

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • You have a background in hospitality or significant experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar position.  

  • You have an excellent knowledge of the local area and tourist attractions. 

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with a hotel management software, such as Opera (or equivalent). 

  • You have the energy, stamina, and availability for this demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

  • You are bilingual in French and English for effective communication with an international clientele. 

  • You consistently maintain exemplary service standards. 

  • You are passionate, friendly, and professional, with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
