Tourism for me is a combination of all the things that I am most passionate about. It represents human contact, events, sports and music all at once. I find that I am at my happiest at a sports event or a concert because that where you’ll find a group of strangers gathered at the same place for the same purpose, having the best time ever. In that one moment, we are all connected. Seeing people united for a good time and being happy makes me feel so complete.

I’ve coached a volleyball team for 4 years, during which I’ve developed leadership skills. It is one of the most gratifying things in my life because I got to bring some joy in these girls’ days. I was a volleyball player in my earlier life, so I know how important a role sports played in their high school life and in their development. We’ve faced challenges and learned to overcome them, together. In my last year as a coach, I was able to help my team reach regionals which was a huge accomplishment for all of us.

Coaching is something that helped me grow as person, and I am ready to bring this knowledge and experience into future career in tourism.
