Job description
Main tasks
• Participates in service preparation.
• Welcomes customers, providing attentive and high-quality customer service.
• Assists with clearing and cleaning tables.
• Presents the menu and makes suggestions, answers customer questions about the
food and beverages on the menu.
• Advises and makes suggestions highlighting the products offered.
• Prepares and serves coffee, drinks, and food.
• Ensures the work area remains clean by following MAPAQ regulations.
• Conduct
sales (food, beverages, and coffee) and handle transactions at the register.
• Restock the counter.
• Prepare the workspace, open the register, and review special offers and
promotions, etc.;
• Serve customers, guide them, provide product information, and ensure their
satisfaction;
• Process transactions, including receiving payments in cash, credit cards, and
debit;
• Calculate the amounts received at the end of their shift and reconcile them
with the total sales;
• Close the register, generate the cash report, and make deposits.
• Any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of a restaurant.
Requirements
SKILLS
& QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma completed.
• Barista experience is an asset.
• Proficient in operating an espresso machine.
• Proficient with a POS system.
• Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with the public.
• Responsible and punctual.
• Courteous and polite.
• Bilingual, French and English (must communicate with an international
clientele).
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
