Job description

<p class="text-node">Develop the banquet market and negotiate contracts relating to this market;</p><p class="text-node"><br></p><p class="text-node">Achieve sales and activity objectives set for the market by the hotel;</p><p class="text-node"><br></p><p class="text-node">Follow up and conduct inspection visits, solicit and organize meetings (such as meals) with current and potential clients both at the hotel and on the road;</p><p class="text-node"><br></p><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">Participate in and organize event fairs and Fam Trips;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Perform all other tasks related to the field of sales such as follow-up meetings with clients and carry out all other tasks requested by the Sales Director.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Target, solicit and develop potential markets for meetings and banquets</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Support and develop existing accounts</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Negotiate various business opportunities with the clients concerned (rooms, menus, audiovisual)</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Answer incoming calls for meeting and banquet requests</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Conduct research to establish strategies to adopt to develop the meeting and banquet market.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Achieve sales targets for meeting spaces and rooms (group less than 20 rooms).</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Achieve sales targets for food and beverages.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Participate in various activities organized to promote sales</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Enter all information relating to contracts</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Communicate all relevant information to the contracts to the banquet coordinator as well as to the various stakeholders such as the maîtres d’hôtel, the executive chef and the catering director</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Take charge of customers when they are present at the hotel</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Represent the establishment in a professional manner to customers</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Introduce the hotel to potential customers by touring the establishment</p></li></ul><p class="text-node"></p>

Requirements

<ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">Candidates must have approximately 1 year of experience in sales and catering. Applicants must be fluent in French and English, both orally and in writing, and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Those with training in sales or hospitality are an asset.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Excellent propensity for sales</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Bilingualism (French and English), excellent interpersonal skills</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Sales experience in the hospitality industry an asset</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Knowledge of the Opera system an asset</p></li></ul><p class="text-node"></p>
