Ready to take on a new challenge in a dynamic environment? We're looking for energetic, passionate and dedicated people. GDI Hotel Services is currently looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. The hotel Hilton Garden Inn & Homewood Suites is ready to welcome a team player to its hotel located in Downtown Ottawa. This vigorous and inspiring individual will work in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper to continually deliver a pleasant and comfortable guest experience.
WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT BE LIKE:
· Supervise daily operations;
· Provide support and collaboration to the multidisciplinary team;
· Provide constructive feedback and training techniques to employees;
· Manage and monitor payroll, inventory, scheduling and other leadership duties;
· Maintain open communication with other operation departments to ensure guest satisfaction;
· Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned by housekeeping to ensure quality standards;
· Provide exemplary customer service in your interactions with guests;
· Ensure the proper functioning and safety of equipment;
· Ensure that safe work techniques are applied and that the wearing of PPE complies with the procedures in place;
· Check and note any repairs or damages found in the hotel, both in rooms and public areas; and if applicable, complete and forward a repair order to the maintenance department;
· Your participation and commitment will be essential during the weekly meetings of the housekeeping department.
Requirements
YOU’RE OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE IF…
· 2 years' experience in the hotel industry;
· Available on weekends and holidays;
· Able to function effectively under pressure, while maintaining optimal time management, showing initiative and analyzing priorities, and possessing the adaptability to develop solutions to a variety of situations;
· Innate communication and leadership skills, and the ability to mobilize a team made up of individuals from a variety of cultures;
· A high level of professionalism, flexibility and the ability to multi-task while maintaining a creative approach;
· Autonomy, resourcefulness, reliability and conflict resolution skills;
· Knowledge of the OnQueue hotel system (asset).
