A career at InnVest will provide you with unparalleled opportunities and invaluable exposure to the largest portfolio of independent hotels in Canada.</p><p class="text-node">To learn more about InnVest hotels, visit <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="link" href="https://innvesthotels.com/">https://innvesthotels.com/</a></p><p class="text-node"></p><p class="text-node"><strong>THE ROLE:</strong></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">The housekeeping manager is responsible for assisting in the management of housekeeping operations, which includes guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to achieve and maintain the hotel's high standard of cleanliness.</span></p><p class="text-node"><strong>ACTIVITIES:</strong></p><p class="text-node">The tasks and responsibilities of the housekeeping manager include, but are not limited to, the following:</p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Create 100% customer satisfaction by offering true hospitality and exceeding guest expectations</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are managed according to brand standards in all housekeeping areas, including all guest rooms, public areas, offices, laundry, lockers, and storage areas front and back of house.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Assist in the hiring, training, and professional development of all housekeeping employees; assist in evaluating performance and communicating performance standards to employees.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Inspect cleanliness levels in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry rooms, restrooms, and public areas ensuring feedback is provided constructively and appropriately, with a focus on positive reinforcement.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Assist in planning staffing in accordance with standards and expected occupancy; assign daily work tasks to employees.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Assist in ordering and receiving linens and cleaning supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels required for the efficient operation of the department; assist with monthly linen and supply inventory.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Ensure completion of the housekeeping report and communicates clean and available rooms to front desk operations.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Document and communicate maintenance requests to the maintenance department to ensure that hotel service quality standards are maintained.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Respond promptly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Adhere to company policies and procedures and be able to communicate them effectively to subordinates.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Provide training on security, safety, department procedures, and service guidelines.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Ensure hotel compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws, including health and safety, OHSA, and human rights.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Other tasks as assigned by management</span></p><p class="text-node"> </p><p class="text-node"><strong>SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:</strong></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Computer literate</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· A team player with a positive attitude and proven results.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Excellent time management, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· Strong leadership, supervisory, and decision-making skills</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">· A strong commitment to quality and customer service</span></p><p class="text-node"><span style="color: black;">InnVest Hotels is an inclusive employer.
