<p><strong>Maternity Leave Replacement</strong></p> <p>The Quebec City Marriott Downtown is looking for a <strong>Group Sales & Events Manager</strong> to temporarily join our Sales team.</p> <p>Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for developing group and banquet sales, converting incoming leads and assisting clients in planning their events. You will contribute directly to maximizing hotel revenues while delivering a personalized client experience.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Handle, qualify and convert group and banquet inquiries, including room blocks, meetings, events and meeting room rentals;</li> <li>Develop new business opportunities and follow up with prospective clients;</li> <li>Prepare proposals, contracts and required follow-ups to confirm group business;</li> <li>Assist clients with event planning and coordinate their needs with hotel departments;</li> <li>Participate in the preparation and distribution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs);</li> <li>Provide personalized service to clients before and after their events;</li> <li>Track sales activities and prepare required reports;</li> <li>Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, client activities and local events;</li> <li>Perform other related duties associated with group and event sales development.</li> </ul> <h2>Skills & Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Ability to use advanced functions of various computer systems, including client tracking, inventory control and forecasting tools;</li> <li>Creative personality with a strong focus on results and customer service;</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and thoroughness in following up on files;</li> <li>Excellent communication skills in both French and English;</li> <li>Minimum of three (3) years of customer service experience;</li> <li>College diploma in hospitality.</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <ul> <li>Group insurance and Employee Assistance Program;</li> <li>Retirement plan with employer contribution;</li> <li>Public transportation or parking provided;</li> <li>Employee referral bonus and recognition programs;</li> <li>Preferred employee rates at Marriott hotels worldwide;</li> <li>The opportunity to gain experience within a dynamic team and the Marriott network.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Join our team and play an active role in growing our group and event business!</strong></p>
