Job description
Main duties:
-Manage the restaurant schedule using the provided system. Ensure the availability of all kitchen staff is collected, assemble the most efficient service teams, and handle absences and last-minute replacements;
-Manage kitchen inventories, being responsible for tracking and maintaining optimal stock levels;
-Plan and direct activities related to food preparation and cooking, and supervise the work of the chefs and cooks;
-Understand the Mae Sri menu concept and adjust the menu as needed while maintaining authenticity and Thai cooking methods;
-Be responsible for the cleanliness and compliance with MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen and all storage areas;
-Ensure food quality and safety, and maintain the highest standards of food and authenticity for the restaurant;
-Train new kitchen team members to restaurant standards;
-Minimize food and labor costs in the kitchen, and efficiently manage available resources;
-Participate in weekly meetings with head office.
Work Schedule:
The Employee will be required to work 5 days a week, for approximately 40 hours of work. Days off may vary depending on the workload, but generally, they will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The workday could start "at the earliest" at 10 a.m. and end "at the latest" at midnight.

Your help may be required at Garden Room (722-201 Jacques-Le Ber Street, Verdun, Quebec, H3E0E4), another restaurants of the same chain for temporarly emergency only.
Requirements
Requirements :
-Education: Professional chef/cook training OR equivalent experience
-5 to 10 years of experience in food preparation in a commercial establishment;
-In-depth knowledge of Thai cuisine and at least two years of experience as a sous chef, specialized chef, or head chef;
-Previous experience supervising and training cooks/assistant cooks (an asset);
-MAPAQ training (an asset);
-Ability to work under pressure;
-Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
-Have good organizational skills;
-Language (oral only): English or French
