Residences Department

Position: Doorman

Status: Full-time

Summary - Greet residents;

- Assist residents in entering and exiting their vehicles;

- Assist residents with removing luggage from their vehicles;

- Transport luggage from the residence entrance to the lobby;

- Answer residents' questions;

- Monitor and maintain the appearance of the entrance;

- Maintain residents' privacy and ensure their safety;

- Direct and ensure the smooth flow of taxis and other vehicles in front of the Residences entrance;

- Ensure walkways are clear and that no vehicles are illegally parked;

- All other related duties.

Reports to the Director of Residences

Requirements:

- Must be available 7 days a week to work all shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekends

- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of a third language will be considered an asset;

- Good knowledge of the city of Montreal and surrounding areas;

- Follow and respect all rules, guidelines, and standards of the residences and the Ritz-Carlton brand;

- Full uniform and neat appearance at all times;

- Punctuality – Very important!

- Calm, polite, patient, smiling, and flexible while also being diplomatic and discreet;

- Replace the Bellhop or Concierge as needed;

- Adapt to a diverse clientele and ensure quality service;

- Five-star hotel experience is an asset.
