Why is this position important?
As the Director of Housekeeping and Style, you ensure that every detail of the hotel reflects Hilton’s quality standards and the expectations of a 5-star establishment. You are responsible for the operational and administrative management of the hotel department. You oversee daily activities, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with quality, health, and safety standards. You contribute to management decisions, manage human resources planning, budget monitoring, and inventory control. Focused on continuous improvement and guest satisfaction, you work closely with other departments to ensure efficient operations and a high level of service.

Your main responsibilities:
Management & Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members
- Develop schedules and assign work tasks
- Evaluate performance and manage disciplinary matters
- Collaborate with HR and the union
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and Hilton standards
- Manage workload distribution and intervene in case of conflicts
- Anticipate needs and propose innovative ideas
- Maintain cleanliness of hotel areas and conduct quality inspections of guest rooms
- Actively participate in management meetings
Management of Material and Budgetary Resources
- Manage inventories and orders
- Ensure proper functioning of facilities and maintain supplies
- Prepare and monitor the department’s budget
Service & Quality
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Conduct thorough inspections of hotel areas
Guest service
- Handle complaints and ensure proper follow-up
- Collaborate with other departments for seamless service
Requirements
Role Requirements
- University degree (Bachelor’s) in a relevant field, such as Hospitality or Tourism Management, Operations Management, or any other related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the hotel or hospitality industry, including at least one (1) year in a similar role with supervisory or management responsibilities.
- Excellent knowledge of hotel operations and customer service standards
- Proven ability to manage a team, organize work, and make operational decisions
- Strong skills in time management, problem-solving, and leadership
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with hotel management systems (HotSOS, Opera considered an asset)
