Job description

Your role across two properties

As Human Resources Director for two of our group’s properties, you serve as the primary point of reference for all HR activities across both establishments. You play a strategic role in managing labor relations, applying policies and collective agreements, supporting managers, and creating a positive, engaging, and harmonized employee experience across our two properties, each governed by a different collective agreement.

Key responsibilities 

HR Leadership, Labor Relations, and Team Support

  • Act as a strategic partner to managers and teams.
  • Manage labor relations in a unionized environment, including the application of both collective agreements.
  • Participate in union discussions and meetings, and intervene in resolving personnel-related issues.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and motivating work environment across both properties.
HR Governance and Compliance
  • Oversee all HR operations: employee files, contracts, internal policies, confidentiality, and legal compliance.
  • Ensure proper application of labor standards and both collective agreements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and rigorous HR reports.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
  • Lead the full recruitment process for all positions across both hotels.
  • Develop effective talent attraction strategies tailored to the hospitality sector and the specific needs of each property.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and ensure a consistent, professional experience.
Staff Development and Company Culture
  • Support training and professional development initiatives.
  • Assist managers in performance management, discipline, and coaching.
  • Contribute to the evolution of internal culture and employee engagement, offering a unique experience across two properties.
Staff Development and Company Culture
  • Manage employee benefits and respond to employee inquiries.
Any other related duties.

Requirements

  • Candidate Profile

  • • 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources management, ideally within the hospitality industry.
  • • Proven experience in a unionized environment with a strong understanding of collective agreements.
  • • Solid knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • • Positive leadership, political acumen, and excellent communication skills.
  • • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • • Professionalism, discretion, and a people-focused approach.
  • • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
