Our group owns and manages an impressive portfolio of 13 hotels spread across Canada's breathtaking landscapes, and extends our warm hospitality as far south as Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our properties range from RV campgrounds to upscale motels and hotels offering over 2100 rooms that promise not just a stay, but an experience. We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Buyer, specialized in hotel furniture, to join our dynamic team at our Montreal head office.

Job description

As a Buyer specializing in hotel furniture at KEJJA Group, you will play a central role in defining the aesthetic and functional quality of our hotels' interiors. You will be responsible for sourcing furniture, equipment and other hospitality-related items, ensuring they meet our brand standards and operational needs.

Key responsibilities

- Furniture sourcing: Sourcing, evaluating and purchasing furniture, equipment and related items for all KEJJA Group properties, ensuring quality, style and cost effectiveness.

- Supplier management: Identify, negotiate and maintain relationships with furniture suppliers and manufacturers to obtain the best products and prices.

- Quality assurance: Carry out regular assessments to ensure that purchased items meet the quality and safety standards of the hospitality industry.

- Market management: Keep abreast of industry trends, new products and innovations in hotel furniture and design to keep KEJJA Group's offering competitive and up to date.

- Coordination: Collaborate with hotel managers and operations team to understand furniture requirements and lead times for each property.

Requirements

Qualifications

- College degree preferred in interior design, architecture, procurement or related field.

- Minimum 1 year experience in procurement, ideally in the hospitality industry.

- Experience with 2D and 3D design software essential.

- Solid knowledge of furniture design and architecture, proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar software.

- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to work under tight deadlines.

-English: Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English with team members and customers.

- Mandarin: Written and spoken Mandarin is mandatory.
