Job description
Work Location: 1130 Sherbrooke Street West
Status: Full-time
Salary: $20/hour
Schedule: Night shift, Monday to Friday (12-hour shifts)

Position Overview
Reporting to the Building Manager, the Security Agent is responsible for protecting the property, employees, and visitors, while maintaining a safe environment through preventive measures and appropriate response to incidents.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor the premises, control access to the property and buildings, and guide visitors to the appropriate areas
• Conduct regular patrols to inspect all areas of the facility
• Ensure that doors and windows are properly secured
• Maintain order and prevent disturbances, unauthorized access, or theft
• Enforce all safety and security procedures
• Intervene when necessary with trespassers or unauthorized individuals
• Inspect alarm systems and fire detection equipment, and adjust heating and lighting when needed
• Identify and report fire hazards, equipment malfunctions, or disruptions to essential services (electricity, heating, ventilation)
• Contact emergency services such as police, fire department, or ambulance when required
• Collaborate with authorities during incidents involving unauthorized individuals
• Ensure compliance with movement regulations for employees, visitors, and suppliers
• Provide assistance and information to visitors when needed
• Prepare daily security reports
• Offer support such as responding to client requests, managing lost and found items, handling complaints, and directing individuals appropriately
• Perform light maintenance duties (trash removal, floor cleanliness, snow removal, salting/sanding)
Qualifications and Skills
• Previous experience in security or a related field is an asset
• Strong knowledge of security procedures and risk prevention
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
• Good physical condition and ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and ability to enforce them
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent
Languages
Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is required in order to effectively serve an international clients.
