Job description
Develop the banquet market and negotiate contracts relating to this market;
Achieve sales and activity objectives set for the market by the hotel;
Follow up and conduct inspection visits, solicit and organize meetings (such as meals) with current and potential clients both at the hotel and on the road;
Participate in and organize event fairs and Fam Trips;
Perform all other tasks related to the field of sales such as follow-up meetings with clients and carry out all other tasks requested by the Sales Director.
Target, solicit and develop potential markets for meetings and banquets
Support and develop existing accounts
Negotiate various business opportunities with the clients concerned (rooms, menus, audiovisual)
Answer incoming calls for meeting and banquet requests
Conduct research to establish strategies to adopt to develop the meeting and banquet market.
Achieve sales targets for meeting spaces and rooms (group less than 20 rooms).
Achieve sales targets for food and beverages.
Participate in various activities organized to promote sales
Enter all information relating to contracts
§ Develop the tour & travel, SMERF, and sports markets and negotiate contracts related to these markets;
§ Achieve the sales and activity targets set for these markets by the hotel;
§ Conduct follow-ups and inspection visits, solicit and organize meetings (such as meals) with current and potential clients both at the hotel and on the road;
§ Negotiate with tour & travel and FIT accounts;
§ Participate in and organize trade shows and family trips;
§ Perform all other sales-related tasks, such as follow-up meetings with clients, and carry out any other tasks requested by the Sales Director.
§ Develop the tour & travel, SMERF, and sports markets and negotiate contracts related to these markets;
§ Achieve the sales and activity targets set for the various markets;
§ Solicit new clients;
§ Organize meetings at hotels and on the road with current and potential clients;
Planning Component:
§ Analyze the market, trends, and competition;
§ Analyze daily sales results, extract relevant observations by client/territory, propose a corrective plan if necessary, and ensure its implementation;
§ Implement growth strategies, conduct market research, and identify promotions and business opportunities.
Requirements
At least one year of experience in the group travel market;
Fluency in French, both spoken and written;
Proficient in Microsoft Office;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Business or hospitality training is an asset;
College or university degree (sales, marketing) or equivalent experience;
Minimum of four years of sales experience;
Proficient in Microsoft Office;
Planning, coaching, and organizational skills;
A major asset: Knowledge of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries.
