Acquired in 2018 by Tidan, this hotel is located in the heart of the Montreal metropolis. The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible by an underground route, adjacent to the Bell Centre. This iconic Montreal hotel was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms, and can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Rooms Division Director is responsible for the overall performance of the Housekeeping and Front Office departments. He/she ensures an exceptional guest experience in line with Marriott International standards, while optimizing resources, controlling costs, and maintaining service quality.

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Quality

  • Ensure an outstanding level of service in accordance with Marriott standards
  • Handle guest concerns and complex situations
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores

Operations Management

  • Ensure smooth operations within Housekeeping and Front Office
  • Implement efficient procedures to support daily operations
  • Maintain strong coordination with other hotel departments

Financial Management

  • Participate in budget planning
  • Monitor budget performance and control expenses
  • Oversee departmental productivity
  • Ensure achievement of financial targets

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with Marriott standards (internal audits)
  • Oversee the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program and membership initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and local regulations
  • Prepare for and successfully pass quality audits

Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop team members
  • Supervise department managers
  • Foster a motivating and positive work environment
  • Attend executive meetings and ensure proper follow-ups with teams
  • Perform any other related duties to ensure departmental service excellence

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Highly guest-oriented mindset
  • Excellent operational and financial management abilities
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role within an upscale hotel
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make quick decisions
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
