Acquired in 2018 by Tidan, this hotel is located in the heart of the Montreal metropolis. The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible by an underground route, adjacent to the Bell Centre and also by 1000 de la Gauchetière. This iconic and emblematic hotel in Montreal was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 1000 customers. Reporting to the Front Desk Supervisors, the Front Desk Agent handles room reservations, welcomes guests upon arrival and throughout their stay, provides information about the hotel, its services, and local attractions, and processes guest payments.

Job Description:

  • Handle room reservations

  • Coordinate guest check-ins and check-outs

  • Promote the hotel’s products and services

  • Process payments for services provided

  • Respond to inquiries regarding hotel services, local attractions, and activities

  • Coordinate group arrivals and departures

  • Manage incoming calls

  • Resolve guest complaints

  • Provide coverage for the night auditor as needed.
  • Perform any other customer service-related tasks as required

Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Capacity to work under pressure and handle diverse situations

  • Flexibility and availability for variable schedules, including night shifts

  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of local attractions and the city in general

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Ability to identify and meet guest needs

  • Demonstrate the ability to reconcile financial and revenue reports.

Required qualifications:

  • College degree in hospitality, an asset
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Advanced knowledge of hotel software applications such as Hotelo
  • Teamwork skills

Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written is required for this position as we serve an international clients.
