Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Technical Maintenance Worker is responsible for the upkeep, repair and general maintenance of the establishment's facilities. This essential role ensures that all equipment, systems and infrastructure on the premises are operating optimally to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

 

Main responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, heating, security systems, etc.
• Repair and resolve breakdowns and technical problems reported by customers or detected during regular inspections.
• Carry out minor renovation work such as painting, repairing walls, laying floor coverings, etc.
• Ensure the proper functioning of kitchen equipment, appliances and sanitary installations.
• Monitor and maintain ventilation and air filtration systems to ensure optimum air quality.
• Manage maintenance requests and assigned tasks via the maintenance tracking system.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to minimize disruption during maintenance work.
• Comply with applicable safety standards and regulations when performing maintenance tasks.
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance work.
• Participate in team meetings and training to keep abreast of new technologies and maintenance best practices.

 

Qualifications required:

• DEP in building mechanics, electromechanics or related field.
• Previous experience in general maintenance, preferably in the hotel industry.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, heating and security systems.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical faults.
• Good understanding of safety standards and the safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating good teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail, thoroughness and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
