<p class="text-node"><u>General Job Description&nbsp;:</u></p><p class="text-node">Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Operations, the General Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.</p><p class="text-node">The candidate must have acquired both academic and practical management knowledge<strong>&nbsp;</strong>within the modern hotel and hospitality industry. They should be detail-oriented, strive for service excellence, and consistently reflect a professional level in their appearance and conduct, as well as in their ethics and entrepreneurial spirit. Highly committed, they advocate for a style we manage by example.</p><p class="text-node">The ideal candidate is an empathetic and dynamic individual who is aware of local, national, and international trends in the industry. Their ability to communicate and listen, combined with their organizational skills and decision-making ability, make them the sought-after leader.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;</p><p class="text-node"><u>Roles and Responsibilities&nbsp;: &nbsp;</u></p><p class="text-node">Ensure proper communication with various services and departments of the hotel, as well as with the corporate office.</p><p class="text-node">Propose, develop, and implement strategies and action plans to meet or exceed established objectives concerning customer satisfaction, team development and engagement, and financial results as outlined in the operating budget.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Hire, as needed, competent senior and middle managers, and approve hiring by department heads of front-line employees. Ensure that all staff members are well trained by each respective department head.</p><p class="text-node">Guide and monitor commercial activities and actions, in terms of outreach to various markets, as well as visibility on online platforms and social media.&nbsp;</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Supervise and manage purchases and costs, readjusting as necessary through tight expense management.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Ensure the proper deployment of effective sales and revenue optimization strategies.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Ensure compliance with established standards.</p><p class="text-node">Ensure the proper maintenance of assets as well as the implementation and supervision of preventive maintenance programs.</p><p class="text-node">Maintain business relationships with various suppliers and other external stakeholders.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Demonstrate skills in planning, coordinating, and negotiating.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p class="text-node"><u>Benefits&nbsp;:</u></p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Salary scale&nbsp;: &nbsp;to be discussed based on experience.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Insurance plan</p><p class="text-node">Laptop and cellphone provided</p>

Requirements

<p class="text-node"><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p class="text-node"><u>Requirements and Skills&nbsp;:</u></p><p class="text-node">Have experience with the IHG chain. </p><p class="text-node"><span> </span>Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Have 3 years of experience in a similar position.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Familiarity with the annual budgeting process.</p><p class="text-node">&nbsp;Proficiency in basic IT software programs: Business/Office Suites, and have used a PMS before.</p>
