Job description

For over 20 years, Nitor Building Maintenance Inc. has upheld the highest standards in housekeeping within the hospitality industry, while tailoring its services to each of its clients.
 We are seeking a passionate Housekeeping Supervisor for our establishment. In collaboration with the Housekeeping Director, your mission will be to organize and supervise housekeeping teams, ensuring adherence to established cleanliness standards. In their absence, you will manage the department’s operations. Your role will be essential in optimizing the quality of service while actively participating in housekeeping tasks. Through your leadership and attention to detail, you will help provide an exceptional experience for our guests, leaving a lasting and memorable impression of their stay with us. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Ensure the smooth running of daily operations in the housekeeping department by overseeing seamless team coordination and effective management of priorities. 
  • Supervise, guide, and motivate the housekeeping team in the absence of the director, ensuring optimal task distribution and diligent performance tracking. 
  • Ensure strict adherence to the quality standards and cleanliness requirements established by the hotel to maintain an impeccable guest experience. 
  • Actively participate in room maintenance during peak season, high-demand periods, or when necessary to support the team, while optimizing overall productivity. 
  • Perform thorough room inspections after cleaning to ensure consistent quality and meet guest expectations. 
  • Regularly conduct inspection rounds throughout the establishment to guarantee an impeccable level of cleanliness in both common and private areas. 
  • Assist in the organization and supervision of seasonal or occasional deep cleaning tasks, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are well-maintained. 
  • Manage and keep the inventory of cleaning products and equipment up to date to ensure continuous resource availability and maximize the department’s operational efficiency.

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping. 
  • You have the energy, stamina, and availability required for this demanding role, with flexible working hours. 
  • You are bilingual in French and English, enabling effective communication with an international clientele. 
  • You consistently maintain exemplary service standards. 
  • You demonstrate natural leadership and are determined to make a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a positive impression. 
  • You have developed managerial skills to achieve budgeted performance indicators (KPIs) in labor and COS%. 
  • You are passionate, friendly, and professional, with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm. 
  • You embody a culture focused on excellence, attention to detail, accountability, and collaboration. 
  • You are disciplined and process-oriented, capable of working calmly in all situations.
