Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor supports the Director of Rooms in managing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This role assumes full departmental responsibility in the Director’s absence.

Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas
  • Provide excellent customer service (handling complaints, ensuring guest comfort, etc.)
  • Inspect and evaluate quality of work
  • Manage room status updates using the property management system
  • Train and support team members
  • Communicate effectively with other hotel departments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to the collective agreement and hotel quality standards
  • Perform any other related duties as required

  • Knowledge of labor standards, occupational health and safety principles, and hygiene and sanitation regulations
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset/requirement

Requirements

  • Détenir un diplôme d’études collégiales en gestion hôtelière ou deux années d’expérience minimum dans un poste similaire, ou un BAC en gestion du toursime et de l'hôtellerie Toute expérience dans un poste de supervision sera considérée un atout;
  • Être bilingue (français/anglais) oral et écrit, une troisième langue un atout;
  • Être capable de travailler sous-pression et gérer le stress en respectant les échéanciers;
  • Avoir la capacité de gérer une équipe et de travailler en équipe;
  • Connaissance des logiciels hôteliers tels que Opera ou similaires un atout.
