<p class="text-node"><strong>Job Description&nbsp;:</strong></p><p class="text-node"><em>Located in the heart of the Entertainment District and adjacent to the Place des Arts metro station, near the Palais des Congrès, Ste-Catherine Street, and Old Montreal, </em><strong><em>HONEYROSE Hotel, Montreal, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, </em></strong><em>is inspired by the 1920s and Montreal’s way of life.</em></p><p class="text-node"><em>This boutique hotel offers 143 spacious rooms, 5 meeting and banquet rooms accommodating over 300 people, a private dining room for a unique culinary experience, an indoor pool, a hot tub, a dry sauna, a fitness center, a movement studio, and two boutiques.</em></p><p class="text-node"><em>This hotel complex provides a complete dining experience with its French bistro-style restaurant COMMODORE, a street-facing coffee counter, and the MUZE lounge, inspired by Californian themes, located on the 5th floor, featuring an impressive outdoor terrace that allows guests to experience the vibrancy of the neighborhood.</em></p><p class="text-node"><strong>OBJECTIVE</strong></p><p class="text-node">The housekeeping supervisor assists the director and assistant director of the department in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the hotel’s housekeeping, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, back-of-house areas, and assigned staff. They ensure operational smoothness, adherence to brand standards, and the maintenance of the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and quality of service.</p><p class="text-node"><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p><p class="text-node">§ Perform department openings and closings.</p><p class="text-node">§ Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas of the hotel.</p><p class="text-node">§ Report observed deficiencies and make necessary touch-ups immediately when possible.</p><p class="text-node">§ Ensure the day's priorities are followed up with room attendants and team members to provide excellent guest service.</p><p class="text-node">§ Assist management in managing routine cleaning plans to maintain furnishings, fixtures, carpets, and coverings according to established standards.</p><p class="text-node">§ Implement housekeeping procedures that promote the health, safety, and protection of guests, staff, and property.</p><p class="text-node">§ Ensure compliance with procedures related to lost and found items, key control, and safety and emergency measures.</p><p class="text-node">§ Apply workplace health and safety policies and procedures.</p><p class="text-node">§ Report and correct any health or safety hazards immediately when possible.</p><p class="text-node">§ Monitor dangerous or suspicious situations that could endanger guests or hotel staff and intervene appropriately.</p><p class="text-node"><strong>Administrative and Operational Management</strong></p><p class="text-node">§ Understand the departmental budget to contribute to sound resource management.</p><p class="text-node">§ Participate in inventory of room and public area supplies.</p><p class="text-node">§ Participate in uniform control.</p><p class="text-node">§ Participate in bedding and towels inventory and ensure sustainable maintenance.</p><p class="text-node">§ Assist the director and assistant director with certain aspects related to human resources, including recruitment, performance management, task assignments, team development, and training.</p><p class="text-node">§ Participate in management team meetings.</p><p class="text-node">§ Participate in departmental meetings with the director.</p><p class="text-node">§ Understand, master, and respect the current collective agreement.</p><p class="text-node">§ Perform any other related duties.</p><p class="text-node"><strong>OUR OFFER:</strong></p><p class="text-node">§ Competitive salary</p><p class="text-node">§ Free parking</p><p class="text-node">§ Group insurance</p><p class="text-node">§ Registered retirement savings plan (RRSP)</p><p class="text-node">§ Paid personal days</p><p class="text-node">§ Orientation plan</p><p class="text-node">§ Dry cleaning service</p><p class="text-node">§ Marriott travel benefits</p><p class="text-node">§ 50% discount at RIMAP hotel restaurants</p><p class="text-node">§ Discount on public transportation on the island of Montreal</p><p class="text-node"><em>* Our organization is an employer sensitive to professional equity and is committed to recruiting a diverse workforce and maintaining an inclusive culture. Requirements

<p class="text-node"><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p class="text-node"><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p><p class="text-node">■ High school diploma or post-secondary education and 2 years of experience in housekeeping management or a related professional field;</p><p class="text-node">■ <strong><em>OR</em></strong></p><p class="text-node">■ Degree from a recognized college or university in hotel management and 2 years of experience in housekeeping;</p><p class="text-node">■ <strong><em>AND</em></strong></p><p class="text-node">■ Experience in hospitality or a related field is desirable;</p><p class="text-node">■ Experience in housekeeping is required.</p><p class="text-node"><strong>SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND APTITUDES</strong></p><p class="text-node">■ Speak, write, and read French and English.</p><p class="text-node">■ Maintain a professional demeanor at all times;</p><p class="text-node">■ Exude positive and enthusiastic leadership to foster cohesion and collaboration among teams and colleagues;</p><p class="text-node">■ Interact with others with the intent to establish positive and constructive working relationships;</p><p class="text-node">■ Able to work under pressure, possess a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage priorities;</p><p class="text-node">■ Capable of clearly communicating ideas and concepts, both written and orally;</p><p class="text-node">■ High work organization skills to work with tight deadlines and perform regular follow-ups;</p><p class="text-node">■ Able to evaluate various presented options and make a thoughtful and informed decision in a timely manner;</p><p class="text-node"><strong>WORK CONDITIONS</strong>:</p><p class="text-node">Variable schedule work, the housekeeping supervisor may be called at any time. Position often involves long hours of work and requires working evenings, weekends, or holidays. Work can be performed under pressure. Work organization may vary according to the tourist season.</p>
