We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Steward to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Your essential role will be to ensure spotless dishware while leading the dishwashing team to maintain an organized and efficient setup. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Learn and become familiar with cleaning products, understanding their proper use, composition, and necessary safety precautions.
  • Operate and perform regular maintenance on the dishwasher according to manufacturer recommendations, ensuring its proper function for clean and hygienic dishware.
  • Sort, clean, and accurately organize clean dishes, storing them in designated locations for optimal organization and easy access.
  • Maintain continuous supply of cleaning products and consumables at your station, keeping inventory adequate to meet operational needs.
  • Keep your work area, storage shelves, carts, and work zones clean and orderly, strictly following hygiene and safety standards.
  • Proactively perform periodic equipment maintenance, conducting regular checks, deep cleanings, and reporting any malfunctions or repair needs to the technical team.
  • Maintain constant communication with the chefs.
  • Ensure all daily tasks are completed.
  • Oversee training follow-up for new dishwashers.

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • At least 2 years of kitchen experience, primarily in hotel establishments.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to communicate smoothly, including the capacity to speak both French and English with our international suppliers.
  • Excellent stress management, ability to work calmly and efficiently while maintaining high execution standards during busy periods.
  • Strong organizational skills for effective work and meeting deadlines.
  • Energy, endurance, and availability for a demanding role with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Consistently uphold exemplary service standards.
  • Passion, energy, and professionalism with a positive, contagious enthusiasm.
