Salary: $54500 per year

We are seeking a dynamic, and results-driven individual to fill the position with Group, Tour & FIT Sales Manager at Le Nouvel Hôtel, located in the heart of downtown Montreal.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Sales Manager will be responsible for developing the Group, Tour, and FIT segment, with a strong focus on identifying and securing profitable business opportunities—particularly short-term, high-yield, and price-insensitive bookings.

The primary objective of this role is to maximize hotel revenue through the effective promotion of guestrooms, banquet spaces, and food & beverage services, while ensuring an exceptional client experience.

To meet monthly room night targets, the Sales Manager will be expected to develop and implement strategic sales action plans, foster strong interdepartmental collaboration, and successfully complete special projects assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Job Description:

• Achieve monthly room night targets for the Tour & Travel market segment and manage group blocks
• Follow established procedures for booking group travel and FIT (Free Independent Traveler) reservations
• Participate in business trips targeting specific regions within the group travel market
• Solicit accounts within the assigned market segment
• Prospect and develop new accounts in alignment with the hotel’s mission
• Conduct weekly solicitation through sales calls and site inspections, and ensure proper follow-up
• Utilize all available prospecting sources in accordance with the Sales Action Plan
• Follow up on leads from other potential sources
• Actively participate in professional associations and industry trade shows
• Meet budgeted goals for room nights, average rates, and revenue
• Contribute to the development of direct mail campaigns and promotional initiatives tailored to the group tour and travel market segment
• Maintain a positive attitude and embrace change
• Coordinate and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
• Ensure control and accuracy of rooming lists at least 60 days prior to group arrival

Skills and qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively in a team – an asset

Requirements:

Years of experience required: 2–3 years in Sales

Languages:
• High proficiency in spoken and written English – Required
• High proficiency in spoken and written French – Required

Bilingualism (French and English) in both oral and written communication is required for this position, as we serve international clients.
