Job description

Le Héron Studio Nature, located in Magog, under the management of Domlex Inc. Opened in June 2024. Le Heron offers a unique accommodations concept, comprising 6 fully equipped studios, an exterior pavilion including hot tubs as well as rest areas around a central fireplace. The facilities were elaborated to accommodate families, including domestic pets.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and motivated person to be involved in all the operational aspects of the establishment, with the goal of offering quality accommodations and impeccable customer service.

 

Primary responsibilities:

Operations:

·       Planning and management of daily operations

·       Inventory management and supply order

·       Maintenance contract management

·       Client relations management

·       Supervision and coordination of operational activities

·       Supplier contracts negotiation

Staff management:

  • Recruitment and hiring of a part-time support staff
  • Schedule management
  • Employee training
  • Employee files management

Accounting:

·        Reservation platform management

·        Preparation of budget

·        Production of periodic reports

·        Invoice approval within established level of delegation

Marketing / Promotion:

·        Website and social media management

·        Preparation of a marketing plan and of the promotions with local and regional tourism industry players

·        Company representation in public relations events/activities

Requirements

Experience and specific skills:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Supervisory experience would be an asset
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Be the designated emergency response contact (day, evening, night)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Fluent in French and English (orally and written)
  • Knowledge of labour, safety and security, as well as hygiene and sanitary norms
  • Excellent knowledge of the tourism industry as well as clientele needs
  • Strong computer skills (Windows, suite Office, web environment). Knowledge of Hotello/Mews reservation platform would be a plus
  • Demonstrate leadership and decision-making capacities
  • Selling, marketing and negotiation skills
  • Detain a valid driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of the Memphremagog touristic region would be a plus
