We are seeking a Front Desk Manager with an innate sense of hospitality and a commitment to providing an unforgettable guest experience. Under the supervision of the Reception Director, you will constantly strive to exceed client expectations. Drawing on your experience in the field, you will be able to provide your team with the guidance and support needed to excel in their roles. Organized and possessing an excellent sense of priorities, you will actively contribute to the smooth running of operations. Warm and professional, you will maintain an open and empathetic attitude towards guests, while fostering effective communication with both internal and external departments of the establishment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support the Front Desk Director in managing the department and ensure smooth operations in their absence.
- Implement and enforce the policies and procedures related to reception and, more broadly, the company.
- Ensure guest satisfaction during and after service delivery and address complaints, if any.
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and departure.
- Handle the administrative and service aspects of arrivals and departures.
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
- Advise and guide clients on concierge services to maximize their Montreal experience.
- Ensure the cleanliness of public areas.
- Facilitate communication between different shifts.
- Observe recurring issues and suggest improvement measures.
- Maintain guest confidentiality.
- Participate in the onboarding and training of new reception employees.
- Optimize sales through upselling.
- Manage the inventory of stationery supplies.

Requirements
- You have a background in hospitality or significant experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar position.
- You have an excellent knowledge of the local area and tourist attractions.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with a hotel management software, such as Opera (or equivalent).
- You have the energy, stamina, and availability for this demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- You are bilingual in French and English for effective communication with an international clientele.
- You consistently maintain exemplary service standards.
