Status: Full time

Salary: $25.33 per hour

Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, the Cook prepares a variety of dishes from the menus of the hotel’s food outlets for consumption.

Cook Responsibilities:

• Perform any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the kitchen.
• Set up workstations in preparation for the different service periods.
• Independently prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Prepare ingredients required for the dishes, following established recipes and specifications.
• Cook, grill, fry, steam, and use other cooking techniques to prepare dishes.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards, including proper food storage, correct handling of equipment, and regular cleaning of work areas.
• Ensure dishes are prepared on time and maintain effective coordination with other kitchen team members.
• Monitor the quality of food products and report any issues or abnormalities to the Executive or Head Chef.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Culinary Arts or an equivalent certification (Seaux Rouge, ASP, or CAP).
• Previous experience as a cook in a similar establishment.
• Proficiency in culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively and follow instructions from the Executive Chef.
• Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
