POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The convent gardens, a warm private residence for seniors, has a cook opportunity to fill!

We are currently looking for talented cooks who care about the health of residents.

Come create and play with flavors, textures and presentations! creative and passionate, wanting to offer an exceptional culinary experience to residents.

Permanent full-time day position, 40 hours per week and one weekend out of 3.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assemble plates of food
  • Clean kitchen equipment
  • Clean kitchen equipment after each use (pots, stove, mixers etc.)
  • Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food
  • Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Peel and cut vegetables for meals
  • Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen
  • Perform other related duties
  • Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards
  • When appropriate, collaborate with the chef in the creation of the menus by proposing ideas

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good team player
  • A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
