Job description

<p class="text-node">Responsible for ensuring compliance with the standards of a five-diamond hotel in the coordination of conferences and banquet events, this position requires a very high level of customer service, an ability to anticipate client needs, and a capacity to view client follow-up as an opportunity to develop a long-term relationship.</p><p class="text-node">Your main responsibilities:</p><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">Coordinate banquet events during conferences and special events according to the quality standards of the Ritz-Carlton Montreal while adhering to the budgets set by management;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Act as the main point of contact for the client, understand their needs and desires, anticipate their requests, and ensure the smooth running of services;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Follow up with clients after events and manage any feedback from clients;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Enter data into the CITY computer system;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Solicit new clients;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Be present at certain events that require your attendance;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Collaborate and participate in sales department meetings;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Participate in the development of menus and promotions for the banquet department;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Ensure that all information is communicated to all departments involved in the smooth operation of conferences and events.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Ability to plan and deliver multiple events at once while respecting requirements and deadlines.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Invoice verification;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Maintain effective relationships with other team members and with the executive chef and their team.</p></li></ul><p class="text-node"></p>

Requirements

<p class="text-node">Experience in event coordination or sales in the hospitality industry is essential and mandatory. Two years of experience is desirable;</p><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">Impeccable bilingualism (French/English) both spoken and written;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Excellent ability to communicate with clients and external providers;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Aptitude to coordinate with a team;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Ability to handle client complaints with diligence and diplomacy;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Must have solid knowledge of the Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Outlook;</p></li><li><p class="text-node"><strong>Must have at least 2 years of experience using CITY and Opera software (mandatory).</strong></p></li><li><p class="text-node">Must be an organized person, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Versatility, great autonomy, positive attitude, dynamism.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Availability on weekends and late evenings depending on events.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Ability to organize in the face of the unexpected and manage stress in delicate situations;</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Any other related tasks.</p></li></ul><p class="text-node"></p>
