Description
We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Accounting to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for the accounting operations of Humaniti Hotel Montreal, as well as other entities within the Humaniti Montreal Complex and business partners.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports.
· Oversee the full accounting cycle.
· Meet tight deadlines and adhere to strict requirements.
· Ensure financial compliance with the highest accounting and reporting standards.
· Prepare year-end audit files for external auditors.
· Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
· Respond to inquiries from clients, suppliers, and business partners.
· Support the ongoing implementation of rigorous internal controls.
· Manage cash flows in a dynamic environment.
· Collaborate with other departments and partners of Humaniti Hotel Montreal.
· Participate in cost analysis and system validation.
· Contribute to special projects.
· Perform any other related duties.
· Adhere to confidentiality guidelines and ethical standards across the business.
· Represent the Humaniti Montreal Complex professionally at all times.
Requirements
· College or university degree in accounting or equivalent education.
· (3 to 5) years of experience in the field of accounting.
· CPA designation (Quebec Order), an asset.
· Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
· Proactivity, initiative, and autonomy.
· Detail-oriented, highly organized, and professional, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Bilingual (French and English – required due to an international clientele).
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Solid understanding of the SME environment and a strong interest in this type of setting.
· Knowledge of HOPEM, Upperbee, Workday, Lightspeed, and Brains, an asset.
· Experience with the Marriott hotel chain, an asset.
