Core Responsibilities  

  • Warmly welcome and assist the client; 
  • Create an extraordinary treatment experience (massage therapy, body treatments and facials) for each one of our customers by performing the spa treatments; 
  • Constantly ensure familiarity with FS protocols, products, standards, services and rituals; 
  • Be an “aesthetic virtuoso”: offer customers pioneering and highly technical treatment and massage methods and techniques; 
  • Customise the treatments with an in-depth diagnosis; 
  • Build a lasting relationship with customers, secure their loyalty; 
  • Organise and perfectly maintain treatment rooms as well as all material and products provided; 
  • Ensure guests receive quality treatments in a safe manner; 
  • Consistently ensure quality of work performed as well as guest satisfaction; 
  • Organise workload based on target objectives; 
  • Follow the schedules of treatments posted by reception and the time allotted to them;   
  • Responsible for the set-up of the assigned cabins; 
  • Anticipate guest needs, stay informed on all contraindications and pay special attention to the state of skin and/or nails in order to evaluate their appearance and the pertinence of the scheduled treatment; 
  • Offer recommendations to clients on different skincare and products they can purchase for home use; 
  • Ensure all hygiene rules regarding cleanliness are followed: clean, maintain and sterilize all instruments;   
  • Demonstrate a commitment to achieving spa goals; 
  • Participate in internal training sessions and apply new techniques on the job; 
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and guests; 
  • Participate in department meetings; 
  • Demonstrate a high level of ethics, integrity and professionalism in all situations; 
  • Work harmoniously with colleagues and supervisors; 
  • Perform all other tasks relating to this position; 

Desired qualifications, skills and attitude 

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar position;  
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and French, both orally and in writing; 
  • Professional training and membership with a recognized massage therapy association is required; 
  • College diploma preferably specialising in hotel management is encouraged, however, not essential if applicants have previous relevant work experience as therapists and estheticians. 
  • Excellent knowledge of how the various Spa treatments work as well as the benefits, indications and contraindications related to them; 
  • Able to promote treatments, services and cosmetic products without giving the impression of being a “hard seller”;  
  • Being at ease in a fast past environment and have a good team spirit; 
  • Interest and ability to provide outstanding service to our internal and external customers; 
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills to meet the expectations of a high-end clientele; 
  • Maintain a professional appearance, excellent presentation and behave in a mature manner and with integrity at all times; 
  • Have an attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment; 
  • Be organized, meticulous and resourceful; 
  • Have a good sense of observation and a listening ear  
  • Good diction, instinctive sense of politeness 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy
  • Have an active mind, enthusiasm and curiosity 
  • Being highly independent and reactive  
  • Sensitive to the world of beauty and luxury, a refined eye for detail and elegance
