Job description

The grill cook is a specialist in grilling (meat and fish) in a restaurant. It is his job to ensure the precision of the cooking and, therefore, to ensure the pleasure of the customers. A job that requires rigor and great dynamism.

  • Supervise the cooking of meat and fish on the grill, plancha and barbecue;
  • Ensure that the cooking is optimal and corresponds to the dish ordered;
  • Supervise the preparation of sauces and corresponding dishes;
  • Control the quality of the products upon delivery;
  • The grill operator is also responsible for the organization of his or her work space, the proper functioning of his or her equipment, as well as compliance with health and safety standards.


  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position;
  • Master the degrees of cooking of meats;
  • Diploma from a recognized school or equivalent experience; 
  • MAPAQ Health and Safety Certificate (handler).
