Job description

Cocotte Bistro is a refined yet casual take on an authentic French bistro, with a distinctly National Capital lens featuring a classic yet contemporary approach to French bistro cuisine. Cocotte Bistro will also bet on bubbles by the glass, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, social hour specials and sharing items prepared and served en cocotte.


The stewarding supports the work of the kitchen and dining room by ensuring the cleaning of dishes and equipment. Generally, they contribute to maintaining cleanliness in the workplace. They may be required to perform other tasks to assist kitchen and dining room teams during busy periods.



- Learn to become familiar with cleaning products, their uses, components, and warnings (hazards).

- Operate and maintain the dishwasher according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

- Sort clean dishes to store them in designated areas.

- Ensure the supply of cleaning products at their station.

- Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, storage shelves, carts, and surfaces.

- Perform periodic equipment maintenance.



- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the restaurant service.

- Excellent customer service skills.

- Strong interest in teamwork.

- Ability to work under pressure.

- Organizational skills.

- Good communication skills in both French and English.
