The Four Seasons Hotel Montreal and the Spa Guerlain are looking for someone who will be our ambassador and who will be able to pass on our stories, our values ​​and our craftsmanship. Core Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests and provide them with personal, gracious, and professional service perceptive to their individual wants and needs, at all times;

  • Create an extraordinary welcome experience for our guests by respecting Guerlain rituals.

  • Perfect knowledge of Guerlain products, services/rituals and DNA

  • Promote, sell and coordinate the services and products offered by the Guerlain spa through the various service packages to meet the needs of guests.

  • Maintain the accuracy and optimal efficiency of the spa booking system to ensure maximum sales potential;

  • Provide the Spa management team with feedback on guest response to our service line of all treatments and products thereby actively creating the best possible spa menu for our guests;

  • Execute all tasks associated with the daily operation of the Spa Desk. Examples of these tasks may include and are not limited to:

  • Opening and closing responsibilities;

  • Participate in preparation and implementation of the Guerlain rituals necessary for the smooth running of the day

  • Orientation and site inspections of all spa services and fitness areas;

  • Assist guests with spa reservations, cancellations and changes;

  • Determining desired results and physical characteristics of each guest for their individual treatment with questionnaire;

  • Fulfill guest’s wants and needs by promoting spa retail products utilized in body treatments and skin care and ensuring at-home continuing care;

  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and organization for the Spa;

  • Report all maintenance needs immediately to the maintenance department and inform Spa management to ensure follow-up;

  • Handle all check-ins, billing and payments as per procedure manual;

  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management;


Desired qualifications and skills

  • Must be available to work weekends, days, evenings and holidays;

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and French, both orally and in writing;

  • The ability to have a thorough understanding of every spa service including benefits, indications and contraindications

  • Have a good resistance to stress and manage it positively and effectively;

  • Demonstrate a very good team spirit

  • Interest and ability to provide outstanding service to our internal, external customers and our suppliers;

  • Have an excellent presentation and elocution, in French and English, and interpersonal skills to meet the expectations of a high-end clientele;

  • Your grooming must be impeccable, hair attached, makeup and manicured nails

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment;

  • Be organized, meticulous and resourceful;

  • Demonstrate creativity and initiative;

  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes;

  • Previous experience and knowledge of Spa operations is preferred; 

  • Experience as a receptionist in a hotel environment would be an advantage.
