The Hotel Saint-André is a boutique hotel with 64 completely renovated rooms. We are located in the heart of the economic and cultural activities of downtown Montreal and close to the Berri UQAM metro station. Customer service is our priority. We have a dynamic team dedicated to customer comfort.

Front Desk Clerk administrative duties required:


. Check In – Check out process: check-in/ check-out of guests, assigning clean rooms and electronic room keys

, Reservations: Booking - Cancelling reservations and providing confirmation numbers.

, Answering phone calls and emails in professional manners

. Cashier: Hotel Front Desk Clerk is responsible for posting charges to customers’ accounts, processing their payments and presenting the Invoice upon check-out.

Hotel Front Desk Clerk deals with payments and is therefore responsible for balance shift sheets (Cash, credit cards)

. Administrative tasks: Faxing, filing, preparing excel / word files as requested by GM or any related tasks duties.

. Guest Services: Front Desk Attendant is responsible for ensuring guests satisfaction during their stay. Their duties include greeting & welcoming guests and ensuring an enjoyable stay & an excellent guest services.

. Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties at front desk (Keep Front desk area always clean, tidy and orderly workspace.)

. Concierge: Hotel Front Desk Clerks are responsible for helping hotel guests with any questions or concerns they have during their stay. They are also responsible for providing information about the hotel facilities, services, and nearby points of interest.

 Their duties include making dining or entertainment reservations, arranging transportation services (Taxis, Limousines,…), and recommending activities and places to go in the area (Restaurants, theatres, Museums …etc).

. Situations: Ability to solve guest situations and problems during their stay.

. Report: Front Desk clerks typically reports to the Hotel Manager, who will provide them with their shift schedules and daily responsibilities.

. Trainings: Attend and apply all trainings provided by the Hotel.


A successful Hotel Front Desk Clerk needs a variety of skills and qualifications to perform the job, including: 


·   Punctuality, positive attitude, disciplined and polite

·   Strong written and verbal communication skills (Bilingual: French-English)

·   Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

·   College diploma or related experience

·   Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask 

·   Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

·   Ability to creatively solve problems

·   Maintaining a well-groomed and professional appearance

·   Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
