KEJJA is a dynamic and growing hospitality company with a portfolio of 16 properties across Canada and the USA. We are passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences through innovative design, brand consistency, and property improvements that elevate our hotels. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a creative and experienced Project Manager | Design, Brand Management to join our team.

Position Overview:
As the Project Manager | Design, Brand Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our hotel properties reflect the highest standards of design and brand consistency. You will coordinate our purchasing team, comprised of two purchasers, and collaborate with hotel managers to ensure property improvement plans are successfully executed. This role requires not only strong project management skills but also a keen eye for design within the hospitality sector. Your ability to blend functionality with aesthetics will ensure our properties provide exceptional guest experiences while maintaining brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the purchasing team, ensuring procurement aligns with both project timelines and design vision;
  • Collaborate with hotel managers to monitor progress and ensure property improvement plans meet brand and design standards;
  • Ensure all design updates and property enhancements are consistent with KEJJA’s brand guidelines and elevate the guest experience;
  • Review design proposals and offer input on furnishings, fixtures, and other aesthetic elements in line with hospitality trends;
  • Coordinate with external designers, architects, contractors, and suppliers to maintain design quality and ensure timely project execution;
  • Track and report on project milestones, identifying potential delays or issues and proposing solutions;
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the procurement process for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) to ensure high-quality design implementation;
  • Oversee budget management and cost control for design and property improvement initiatives;
  • Prepare regular status updates and reports for senior management.

Requirements

Design Qualifications:

  • A strong design sensibility and experience in hospitality or commercial design projects;
  • Ability to understand and implement brand guidelines into tangible design elements that enhance guest experience;
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus;
  • Knowledge of current hospitality design trends, materials, and furnishings;
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to translate design concepts into practical applications.

General Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, design coordination, or brand management in the hospitality or related industries;
  • Experience working with procurement or purchasing teams is an asset;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously;
  • Proficiency in project management tools or software;
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
