We are currently looking for a Payroll Technician to support our growth. You will be responsible for administering the payroll of an assigned portfolio of more or less 500 employees, integrating and updating data in the employer D (Desjardins) system and answering managers' questions as needed.

  • Act as a resource person for employees and managers for all questions relating to payroll and benefits
  • Be able to process payroll (full cycle of an integrated portfolio)
  • Complete and participate in the production of year-end reports (declaration of salaries, CNESST, 1% training, etc.)
  • Coordinate the management of group insurance, disability, CNESST and maternity files
  • Ensure the management of time management cycles in the system (Agile)
  • Interact with the Human Resources department to obtain, clarify or correct the information received
  • Open / close and update employee files
  • Perform all end-of-month activities required for payroll on time
  • Process several requests such as: vacation payment, employment insurance application, termination of employees, time bank and union dues deduction

Permanent: Full Time
Day time
  • DEC in accounting / administration or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • ACP (Canadian Payroll Association) training, an asset
  • Experience with payroll and human resources systems, preferably with Desjardins
  • Knowledge of the unionized context and the application of collective agreements
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite (Excel: intermediate / advanced level)
  • Skills with a time management system (Agile / Synérion)
