Experienced pastry cook:
Manoir Hovey, a 5 star Relais & Châteaux lakeside hotel, is looking for an experienced cook to join our team.

Under the direction of the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine or Sous-Chef, the pastry cook will have the following main missions

-Create the dessert menu
-Prepare recipes and special requests
-Select or develop recipes
-Determine the ingredients needed and their quantities
-Baking, icing or decorating pastries
-Designing and making special event cakes and presentation pieces
-Preparing ice cream products and creams
-Making chocolates and special orders food 
-Maintaining clean and tidy workplaces and tools
Requirements
  • Leadership
  • Team spirit, dynamism, autonomy
  • Sense of organization and initiative
  • Minimum knowledge of French and English
  • Knowledge of the transformation processes of semi-finished products
  • Creativity, manual dexterity and speed of execution
  • Attention to detail
  • 3 to 5 years experience in gourmet restaurants required (Relais & Châteaux, 4 diamonds, 5 stars)
  • Experience in gourmet cuisine an asset
