Under the authority of the Director of Reception, a night auditor is an administrative service employee whose function is to verify commercial transactions carried out during the day in order to balance accounts and deposits and to close the cash registers while ensuring reception during the night. He/she assumes the role of a receptionist by welcoming guests so that they can enjoy the best hotel experience.
Overview of tasks to be performed:
- Sort commercial transactions carried out during the day
- Check and correct transaction records and update hotel guest notes
- Balance accounts and close cash registers for various points of sale and reception
- Produce the daily revenue report
- Answer the phone and route incoming calls
- Make reservations
- Enter group arrivals into the reservation software and prepare for their arrival
- Handle customer complaints
- Perform night receptionist tasks
- Other administrative and/or accounting tasks
Skills and qualifications:
- Sales and customer service skills
- Teamwork, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills
- Tolerance to stress
- Knowledge of hotel management software is an asset.
Education: High School Diploma (DES)
Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) is required in this position as we serve an international clientele.
