Job description
A haven of
peace and well-being in the heart of Old Montreal, the Rainspa, a 2,500 sq. ft.
space spread over two floors, is located inside the Place d'Armes Hotel.
Offering a variety of refined treatments that combine ancient knowledge with
cutting-edge technology, this spa is distinguished by its traditional Hammam
with two private rooms dedicated to treatments under eucalyptus fumes. There
are also ten treatment rooms, two of which can accommodate duo treatments, as
well as a contemporary salon for manicures and pedicures. Frequented by hotel
guests and Montrealers alike, the Rainspa offers the ultimate in rejuvenation
in a soothing atmosphere.
We are currently looking for a contract massage therapist - independent to work in collaboration with our team. Under the supervision of the Spa Supervisor, this professional will be responsible for providing the highest level of relaxation and rejuvenation to our clients.
HOW YOU WILL PARTICIPATE IN CREATING MOMENTS OF HAPPINESS :
- Perform a variety of treatments including massage, body treatments and combination treatments;
- Perform in-depth consultation with clients prior to their treatment and offer follow-up advice specific to client needs;
- Be responsive to clients' questions or concerns;
- Provide the ultimate spa experience to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction;
- Create an atmosphere that makes guests feel comfortable and cared for;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and treatments available at Rainspa and be able to make recommendations to clients that meet their needs;
- Maximize sales opportunities for each guest;
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and neat work environment at all times, ensure adequate inventory and that all equipment is in good working order;
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful manner;
- Follows spa policies, procedures and standards;
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required by spa management;
- Be aware of new trends in the industry;
- Have a positive attitude that will help maintain a friendly and professional work environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of 400 hours of training in Swedish massage from an accredited institution;
- Be a member of a professional association recognized in Quebec and be able to issue insurance receipts;
- Provide proof of certification with Rainspa;
- Possess and provide proof of professional liability insurance;
- Excellent knowledge of massage techniques;
- Master a minimum of 2 massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, Thai oil, lymphatic drainage, foot reflexology, prenatal, hot stone, or other techniques;
- Experience in a luxury spa environment;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen to guests' needs and make recommendations based on their needs;
- Exceptional customer service skills;
- Bilingual French/English;
- Ability to work independently and proactively under pressure;
- Reliability, punctuality and team spirit;
- Strong attention to detail and pride in work done;
- Warm, professional and attentive personality;
- Good appearance;
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekend evenings, weekends and holidays;
- Discretion and professionalism are required in this position.
