Job description

As a maintenance technician within our hotel, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and functionality of our facilities. You will be responsible for managing preventive and corrective maintenance operations to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure proper functioning.

  2. Repairs: Diagnose and repair potential equipment failures such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, lighting, locks, appliances, etc.

  3. Plumbing and Electrical Work: Address plumbing and electrical issues, perform repairs, and installations as needed.

  4. Maintenance Requests Management: Respond to maintenance requests from guests and various hotel departments, ensuring effective follow-up.

  5. Safety: Contribute to maintaining a secure environment by identifying and resolving potential safety issues.

  6. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions.

  7. Reports and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and hours worked for internal documentation.

  8. Compliance with Standards and Regulations: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, local regulations, and internal hotel policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in maintenance, electricity, plumbing, or a related field.
  • Prior maintenance experience in the hotel industry or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French and English due to the international clientele.
  • Strong technical skills in plumbing, electricity, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
  • Ability to diagnose and quickly resolve problems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Availability for emergency interventions outside normal working hours.
  • Ability to occasionally lift loads of 50 to 70 pounds and/or ability to frequently carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing 40 pounds.
