Owner and operator of the Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Centre-Ville, Courtyard Marriott Montreal Centre-Ville, the upcoming Holiday Inn & Suites Montreal Centre-Ville West and AC Marriott Montreal, RIMAP is quickly becoming one of the largest hotel operators of internationally branded hotels in downtown Montreal.
Due to the expansion in the Montreal downtown area RIMAP Hospitality Services Inc. is in search for a Maintenance Manager.
Maintenance Manager Job Description:
The Maintenance Department ensures that our hotel as well as our adjacent apartment complex is able to operate to the best of its ability by providing preventative maintenance to the buildings. Our Maintenance Department operates with a “Can Do” philosophy which offers exciting, challenging and new experiences every day.
Under the supervision of the RIMAP Regional Director of Technical Services, you will be asked to perform duties such as:
Manage a team of maintenance technicians responsible for all activities related to these disciplines for one residence/hotel building.
Provide a daily report to Regional Director of Technical operations.
Be responsible for all aspects of managing resources within your group, including performance reviews, task assignments and development & training of the team to maintain the level of expertise required to support the maintenance program.
Be responsible for budget and schedule requirements.
Plan and review workloads and assign appropriate staff to complete the repairs, maintenance or inspections in a timely fashion and is being serviced within the maintenance guidelines;
Provide technical support to technician staff and management.
Ensure appropriate material is on site to expedite repairs, maintenance and other building requirements;
Be responsible for all building operating systems and IT systems
Be responsible for the Preventative Maintenance programs of all equipment and rooms in the hotel
Be responsible for the safety and security for the building
Ensure the property is maintained according to company and brand standards.
Be responsible for audits and fire drills.
Participating to hotels’ Manager on Duty program which involves to be available on certain evenings and weekends.
As our ideal candidate:
You hold a college degree or maintenance certificate (studies in operations management, maintenance or related disciplines is an asset),
You possess a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years’ experience in maintenance responsibilities in a similar position;
You are organized and must have the ability to work with limited supervision, be a team player and can work autonomous
You must also show initiative, leadership, a strong sense of responsibility and integrity and have good technical judgment, in a time demanding environment
You must be physically fit, capable of lifting 50 – 75 lbs.
Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
You must be available for shift work and weekends.
You must have a level and experience of customer service skills, as dealing with guest and public will be required.
Bilingualism (English and French) as well as strong communication and organizational skills are also essential.
You must have some knowledge of MS office
