Description
Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, the holder of this position will perform the following tasks:
  • Set up the service and see that prep work has been completed
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and menus
  • Prepare plate for the service according to the standards and directives communicated
  • Set up the work place before service
  • Provide the necessary items for running the service
  • Prepare, season and condition meat, fish, vegetables, desserts and other foods using appropriate methods;
  • Cook various foods appropriately;
  • Assemble the plates according to the standards and directives communicated
  • Clean and clear the work stations
  • Respect the rules of hygiene and food safety
  • See to the cleanliness of the premises and the equipment used.
Requirements
  • DEP from cooking establishment or experience in the field
  • Be able to lift items within the permitted limits
  • Variable hours: work days, evenings, weekends or holidays;
  • Professional attitude and behavior (aptitudes for teamwork, autonomy, dynamism, honesty, versatility, sense of initiative, sense of organization, etc.);
  • Knowledge of French or English;
  • Knowledge and application of labor standards and basic principles of health and safety, as well as hygiene and sanitation
