We are seeking a Housekeeping Director. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the cleaning teams, maintaining common areas and guest rooms, and ensuring the supply of necessary products and equipment. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our facilities while upholding the highest quality standards. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

 

Supervision and Leadership: 

  • Report to the Director of Accommodation to coordinate, supervise, and lead housekeeping. 
  • Maintain operational profitability and ensure the quality of products and services. 

 

Team Management: 

  • Select, hire, train, and provide feedback to team members to build a strong, positive, and effective team. 
  • Foster engagement and retention through inspiring training, mentoring, daily recognition, and ongoing coaching. 
  • Promote a respectful and inclusive environment that allows each team member to reach their full potential. 

 

Inspection and Quality: 

  • Regularly conduct thorough inspections of the facilities to ensure they meet standards. 
  • Ensure the quality of service in rooms and common areas. 
  • Lead and motivate the housekeeping team. 
  • Ensure good communication with the team and related departments. 

 

Recruitment and Training: 

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate staff. 
  • Train employees according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards. 
  • Monitor housekeeping procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff. 

 

Coordination and Communication: 

  • Coordinate and participate in team meetings. 
  • Work closely with other departments within the establishment. 
  • Resource Management 

 

Purchasing and Supply: 

  • Manage purchases and the supply of products and materials necessary for operations. 
  • Maintain and control the inventory of products and materials. 

 

Daily Operations: 

  • Supervise the housekeeping team and coordinate their daily activities. 
  • Perform departmental openings and closings. 
  • Adjust and monitor work schedules. 
  • Participate in the department’s operational meetings. 

 

Operations, Quality, and Collaboration: 

  • Inspect rooms, corridors, workspaces, and public areas of the establishment, ensuring compliance with the standards. 
  • Ensure that tasks are carried out in accordance with health and safety standards. 
  • Verify that the hotel’s cleanliness and appearance standards are met. 
  • Perform room inspections. 
  • Coordinate and supervise deep cleaning tasks. 
  • Work closely with other departments within the establishment. 
  • Participate in budget development for the services under your responsibility and ensure follow-up and control of expenses in line with the established budget. 
  • Actively participate in the hotel management committee meetings. 
  • Create positive experiences for our guests, partners, and suppliers in collaboration with the sales, purchasing, and Talent & Culture teams.

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • You have at least 3-4 years of housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry. 
  • You have 2 years of team management experience, ideally in housekeeping. 
  • You have strong experience in a high-end hotel environment, an excellent understanding of accommodation, and a passion for the latest market trends. 
  • You are a graduate of a hospitality school. 
  • You have the energy, stamina, and availability required for this demanding role, with flexible working hours. 
  • You are bilingual in French and English, enabling effective communication with an international clientele. 
  • You consistently maintain exemplary service standards. 
  • You demonstrate natural leadership and are determined to make a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a positive impression. 
  • You have developed managerial skills to achieve budgeted performance indicators (KPIs) in labor and COS%. 
  • You are passionate, friendly, and professional, with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
