Position Summary:
We are looking for a passionate Chief Executive Officer, who can lead our team with commitment and strategy. You will be responsible for maximizing operational performance while maintaining high quality standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Operations, you will collaborate with local teams and serve as the senior representative of our hotel in the Saint John community.

Details of responsibilities
1. Operations management:
Oversee the smooth running of the hotel's day-to-day operations.
Ensure the maintenance of infrastructure with regular maintenance.
Guarantee optimal customer satisfaction by respecting Marriott standards.
2. Human resources management
o Communicate, motivate and supervise teams in a unionized environment.
o Collaborate with department heads to achieve operational and budgetary objectives.
o Promote a healthy and inclusive work environment.
3. Management of financial and material resources
o Prepare and monitor budgets
o Analyze financial statements and control costs.
o Negotiate with suppliers and optimize inventory management.
4. Marketing, Sales & Revenue
o Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing and visibility strategies.
o Support marketing efforts to attract tourists and business customers.
o Strengthen the visibility of the establishment.
5. Relations with Partners and the Community:
o Represent the hotel in the local community and at events.
o Strengthen ties with local partners to foster the hotel's growth. (Destination St. John's, George Street Association etc.)
Desired profile
· 5 years of experience in a hotel management position.
· Strong expertise in human and financial management.
· Mastery of hotel IT systems.
· Bilingualism (English and French), a third language is an asset.
· Degree in Hotel Management or Business Administration (an asset).
· Leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills.
· Ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure.
