Job description
We are seeking a General Manager to oversee the seamless operation of all aspects of the property, including accommodation and food & beverage services. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the hotel’s activities to meet quality and quantity standards set by the company. Directly involved in daily operations, you’ll manage the hotel alongside headquarters, the Director of Food & Beverage, and the Director of Accommodation. With your leadership and management skills, you’ll foster team spirit and cultivate a strong sense of belonging, maximize revenue, and ensure ongoing control over operational costs.
As General Manager, you will be accountable for achieving targets in guest experience, staff management and engagement, as well as financial results. Your planning, organizational, leadership, and control skills will be essential in overseeing the hotel’s daily operations to uphold quality standards. Additionally, your collaboration with Corner Collection’s executive team and centralized headquarters will be vital to surpassing company objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Works closely with various stakeholders within the company and across the property.
Ensures high standards and quality across the property.
Serves as a member of the Corner Collection Executive Committee.
Collaborates with the Executive Committee to develop a clear vision and strategic plan for the property.
Manages financial resources (budget preparation, operating cost control, etc.) and material resources (inventory management, supply orders, vendor negotiations, etc.).
Maintains effective communication with headquarters departments, including marketing, human resources, revenue, sales, and accounting.
Monitors and manages costs.
Maintains strong, ongoing relationships with other hotel departments and internal and external partners.
Other tasks may be assigned, and so we’re counting on your flexibility and resourcefulness!

Requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You have 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role or in an operations management position.
You possess expertise in hotel management, ideally with a luxury product.
You have excellent knowledge of the local, national, and international markets.
You hold a university degree in management, preferably in hospitality and restaurant management.
You have the energy, stamina, and availability for this demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
You are bilingual in French and English for effective communication with an international clientele.
You consistently maintain exemplary service standards.
You are passionate, friendly, and professional, with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
