Chez Delmo, fish and seafood restaurant established in Old Montreal in 1934, is looking to hire a garde-manger
The garde manger takes charge of the cold station and takes care of all other secondary stations and other preparations.
The garde manger/préparateur prepares vinaigrettes and sauces and small cooking preparations during service. He also takes care of fridge stocks of all cold station foods.
He prepares cold or hot cooking with proper seasoning and proper presentation and precision: hors d'oeuvres, salads, sauces, fish, meats etc.
The garde manger/préparateur also helps during preparation, reception of stocks and end of service cleaning, all kitchen and stations, and fridge maintenance.
Variable schedules (weekend included). We are looking mostly for evenings and weekends.
Promotion possibilities (assistant-chef)
- Certificate in hygiene et salubrity (HACCCP)
- Minimum 2 years successful experience in a restaurant
- Capacity to reproduce a recipe with precision
- Enthusiasm, motivation, adaptability
